Transavia is completing its management team with the appointment of Erik-Jan Gelink as its head of commercial, effective from 15 September 2016, and Petra de Ruiter as its head of operations, effective from 1 October.
Gelink, coming from Capgemini Consulting where he worked as VP telecom, media and entertainment, will succeed Roy Scheerder. “I am looking forward to working on Transavia’s goals,” averred Gelink. “I am convinced that my fresh look on situations, combined with the company’s knowledge and talent, will lead to good results.”
Petra de Ruiter’s current role is head of cabin service at Transavia, before which she was employed in various roles by KLM. She said, “I am unbelievably happy to work with colleagues to further build on Transavia’s goal of delivering memorable travel experiences to our passengers.”
Mattijs ten Brink, general manager of Transavia, commented, “The strengthening of the team brings us a step further in achieving our ambition to be the most accessible, customer-focused and affordable airline in Europe. Apart from growth, service and digital service provision, we are focusing on reducing costs and optimising our operational processes.”
