Spirit Airlines has appointed three new executives to its leadership team: Ted Botimer as senior vice-president of network planning and revenue management, Laurie David Villa as vice-president and chief human resources officer and Eric Netland as vice-president of pricing and revenue management.
As SVP network planning and revenue management, Botimer – whose previous role was at XOJET – will be in charge of exploring Spirit's new markets, ensuring successful fleet deployment and the overall management of the airline’s revenue.
David Villa will bring more than 25 years of experience to her new role as chief human resources officer, having served as SVP human resources at Charter Schools USA.
Netland is already a Spirit employee, having joined the airline in 2006 and serving most recently as senior director of revenue management and forecasting. In his new role as VP of pricing and revenue management, Netland’s aim will be to optimise the passenger revenue performance of the airline.
“Spirit is one of the fastest growing airlines in the industry and it's important that we have strong leadership at our key senior positions as we grow,” noted Spirit's president and CEO, Ben Baldanza. “We continue to build a leadership team that will allow Spirit to soar to new heights as a company while continuing to provide our customers with the lowest airfares and total price, our investors with excellent returns, and our team members with rewarding career opportunities. These three highly qualified individuals bring a diverse background of experiences from within and outside the traditional airline industry.”
