From 24 October, Thai Vietjet will operate a once weekly return flight on a Saturday between Bangkok and Bodh Gaya, a famous religious site associated with the Mahabodhi Temple Complex in the Indian state of Bihar.
The service will depart Bangkok at 11.30 and land in Bodh Gaya after a three-hour journey. The return flight will embark on the same day at 14.10 and arrive in Bangkok at 18.40.
Earlier this year, Thai Vietjet operated the aforementioned route during the Lunar New Year holiday as well as on the occasion of a ground-breaking ceremony held to celebrate the renovation of Venuvan monastery in Bodh Gaya. The airline hopes it will create affordable travel opportunities for followers of Buddhism and residents and guests of Thailand and Vietnam.
