With the beginning of its service between Minneapolis/St Paul and London Stansted, Sun Country Airlines will offer customers use of digEcor’s digEplayer XT.
The handheld devices are complimentary for all first-class travellers and available in economy class for $10.
Each digEplayer will come preloaded with a selection of first-run movies including Avatar and Percy Jackson/The Lightning Thief as well as TV shows, music and games. With an 8-inch screen, the digEplayer XT offers DVD-quality video and crisp, clear text and graphics plus a battery life in excess of 12 hours to keep passengers entertained throughout the flight.
“The digEplayer is perfectly suited for air travel, particularly on longer flights,” explained Wendy Blackshaw, Sun Country’s vice-president of marketing and sales. “Our customers will have plenty of movies, music, games and other activities to choose from as they fly.”
In addition to offering the digEplayer on London flights, Blackshaw said the airline also plans to add the unit on its MSP–Anchorage, AL, service and is evaluating the possibility of adding the devices across its entire system.
