StandardAero has signed a new multi-year contract with Sky Regional Airlines to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul services for the airline’s Pratt & Whitney Canada APS2300 auxiliary power units (APUs).

Under the agreement, StandardAero will provide MRO services for the APS2300 APUs equipping Sky Regional Airline’s fleet of Embraer E175 regional aircraft. StandardAero’s Maryville, Tennessee location which is an OEM-approved Authorised Repair Facility (ARF) for the APS2300, will provide Sky Regional with customised MRO programmes. The company suggests its programmes will offer maximum support and flexibility to meet the airline’s specific operational needs.

Pat Melen, vice-president – maintenance for Sky Regional, said the agreement “illustrates our confidence in this experienced team. Ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations is critical and knowing we have this type of support for our APUs is reassuring.”

“We are pleased to extend our long-standing relationship with Sky Regional through this new multi-year APS2300 support agreement,” said Randy Mengel, VP/GM of the company’s Maryville facility. “We look forward to supporting Sky Regional and its partner Air Canada with reliable APU support services for many years to come, ensuring passenger comfort and maximizing the airline’s on-time performance.”
