As part of its 2015 growth plan, Spirit is introducing daily services between Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) and nine new cities, as well as daily services to three new cities from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
“2015 is going to be a blockbuster year for saving money on travel with Spirit Airlines,” remarked Mark Kopczak, Spirit Airlines' VP network planning.
From 7 May, Spirit will begin operating daily services to Cleveland, Las Vegas, and Orlando from Atlanta. From 18 June, the carrier will start flying from Atlanta to Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Tampa. Then, from 20 August, a daily flight to Los Angeles will commence. Finally, from 10 September, Spirit will offer a seasonal daily flight between Atlanta and Boston and Fort Myers.
Other routes from Atlanta include Atlantic City, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Detroit, Fort Lauderdale, and Houston. In addition, Spirit offers connecting service to more than 30 domestic and international cities from Atlanta.
Spirit’s new routes from LAX include services to Baltimore and Kansas City, which will be operated from 9 July onwards. Service between LAX and Atlanta will begin on 20 August.
Cities already currently served by Spirit from LAX are Chicago, Cleveland (starting 16 April 2015), Denver (also starting 16 April), Dallas/Fort Worth, Detroit, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, Las Vegas, and Minneapolis-St Paul. Spirit also offers connecting service to over 30 more domestic and International cities from Los Angeles.
To date, Spirit has announced 37 new non-stop routes due to begin in 2015.
