Southwest Airlines has extended its flight schedule through to 30 October 2015, the new schedule bringing more nonstop service and new destinations beginning on 9 August, for travellers flying Southwest in Santa Ana/Orange County, Washington Reagan National, and Columbus, Ohio.
The carrier will add service to both coasts from Port Columbus International Airport with the airport's first daily nonstop flight to/from Oakland (San Francisco Bay Area), and twice-daily service to/from Boston Logan.
"This new service complements our breadth of service to key destinations that Columbus travellers have told us they need to go," said Andrew Watterson, Southwest Airlines' senior vice-president of network & revenue management. "We're in the business of connecting people to what's important in their lives and we do that without nickel-and-diming our customers."
