Southwest announces nonstop Pittsburgh–Houston Hobby service

A new direct flight is now being operated by Southwest Airlines from Pittsburgh to Houston Hobby Airport, introduced to provide business travellers in the energy sector with new travel options.

"Southwest Airlines is building a $100 million international facility at William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) and will begin operating flights to Mexico, the Caribbean and other Latin American destinations in 2015," noted Mike Gillock, Pittsburgh station manager, Southwest Airlines. “Customers will experience our newly retrofitted 737-700 aircraft with the Evolve interior on these routes.”

The PIT–HOU schedule will include one flight daily. On weekdays, Monday to Friday, takeoff from PIT will be at 11:50, arriving HOU at 14:00. On Saturdays, the flight will depart PIT at 09:15 and on Sunday it will depart PIT at 12:00.

Returning from HOU to PIT, flights from Sunday to Friday will depart at 13:35 and arrive at PIT 17:35. On Saturday, it departs HOU at 10:35 and arrives at PIT at 14:29.
