tSprint Air is to purchase an ATR 72-200 previously operated by CanaryFly in a sale arranged by Skyworld Aviation.
Skyworld has worked with Sprint Air since 2005 when the airline acquired its first two Saab 340A QC aircraft. Since then, Sprint Air has undergone a rapid fleet expansion, and Skyworld Aviation was involved with supplying 6 aircraft of its 12 current Saab aircraft.
Sprint Air took delivery of its first ATR 72 in 2014. It now operates three freighter ATR 72-200s on cargo contracts. The new ATR 72-200 will be the carrier’s first passenger-configured aircraft of the type and has been placed on an interim ACMI contract in Europe.
