From 4 November 2016, SkyWest Airlines, a subsidiary of SkyWest, Inc., will operate new daily American Airlines flights between St. George, Utah, and Phoenix under the American Eagle banner.
The St. George–Phoenix leg will take off at 08:00 and land at 08:05, while the return Phoenix–St. George service will depart and arrive at 17:00 and 19:05 respectively (all local times). The flights will use Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft in a 50-seat configuration.
“We’re pleased to add a third destination and major airline partner for St. George travellers, and Phoenix is a great option as a key American Airlines hub,” remarked Chip Childs, CEO of SkyWest, Inc. “In addition to the United and Delta service we currently provide, this flight makes it easier than ever for St. George passengers to connect to destinations across the globe on American Airlines. There’s never been a better time to fly SGU.”
St. George’s mayor, Jon Pike, commented, “The citizens of southern Utah are fortunate to have SkyWest, the largest regional airline in the world, headquartered right here in St. George. We appreciate having them as our air service partner and are excited about the economic opportunities that this American Airlines Phoenix flight will bring to our region.”
