SkyWest Inc. has announced preliminary traffic data for its subsidiary carriers, SkyWest Airlines and ExpressJet Airlines, during September 2014.
Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) dropped 1.8% to 2,530,579,082 from 2,576,817,683 in September 2013. Available seat miles (ASMs) though, were cut by 3.0% to 3,128,517,594 from 3,224,332,700.
The load factor thus rose by 1.0 percentage point to 80.9% from 79.9% last September. Finally, the two airlines carried a total of 4,744,658 passengers during September, which was 3.2% fewer than the 4,899,354 carried in September last year.
