SkyWest, Inc. has reported September 2011 traffic figures for its three airline subsidiaries, SkyWest Airlines, Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA) and ExpressJet Airlines.
Revenue passenger miles generated by the trio totalled 2,387,642,734, up by 51.8% from 1,572,811,495 in September 2010. Available seat miles were increased by 49.9% to 2,987,988,867 from 1,992,895,693.9
The load factor for the month was 79.9%, an rise of 1.0 percentage point over last September’s 78.9%. Passengers carried numbered 4,586,941, compared with 3,175,783 in September 2010, a 44.4% increase.
SkyWest Inc notes that the substantial increases for each of the items are due primarily to the acquisition of ExpressJet Airlines on 12 November 2010.
