SkyWest, Inc. has reported preliminary July 2015 traffic figures for the combined operations of its subsidiaries, SkyWest Airlines and ExpressJet Airlines.
Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) totalled 2,733,451,136, compared with 2,933,835,464 in July 2014, a 6.8% decrease. Available seat miles (ASMs) were cut by 7.7% to 3,210,506,489 from 3,477,776,576 for the respective periods.
The load factor thus rose by 0.7 percentage points to 85.1% in July 2015 from 84.4% last July. The two airlines carried 5,182,756 passengers, which was 5.6% fewer than the 5,490,622 carried in July 2014.
