The Skywest Group, through its Singapore subsidiary Skywest Airlines (S) Pte Ltd, has acquired an additional Fokker 100 which it intends to bring into Australian service.
The acquisition increases Skywest’s fleet of Fokker 100s to ten. Title to the aircraft was acquired on the 15 June, and it is expected to be leased to the Australian subsidiary on a 60-month operating lease.
Jeff Chatfield, chairman, Skywest Airlines, commented, “Skywest is enjoying significant strategic growth within the resources sector and an additional Fokker 100 aircraft underlines our commitment to the delivery of services to the fly-in, fly-out market.”
