Acting on behalf of Castlelake, Skyworld Aviation has arranged a long term lease of an ATR 72-202 to CanaryFly in Gran Canaria.
The aircraft was manufactured in 1995 and was previously in operation with Royal Air Maroc. Skyworld Aviation also placed an ATR 42 on dry lease with CanaryFly back in 2011 and this latest addition takes the number of aircraft in the fleet to six, comprising two ATR 42s, one ATR 72 and three Fairchild Metros.
Peter Greensmith, director at Skyworld Aviation, remarked, “We are delighted to have assisted CanaryFly with their fleet expansion particularly as it has been a challenging period for airlines operating in the region. This is also the first opportunity we’ve had to work with Castlelake and we look forward to working with them again on future transactions.”
