Sun Country Airlines is to begin offering customers Skycast Solutions’ TrayVu7 portable inflight entertainment device, which is claimed by Skycast to be the industry’s lightest and smallest.
Sun Country will offer the seven-inch customised “Air Show” tablets free in First Class and for rental in economy on the airline’s long-haul routes. The Air Show tablet will feature still-in-theatre films plus other recent movies, TV shows, children’s programming and more.
“We are thrilled to fly with Sun Country Airlines,” commented Bill Boyer, CEO of Skycast Solutions. “We look forward to partnering with them to provide Sun Country with the very latest in portable IFE solutions.”
The unit features an all-aluminium shell/stand combination and a design that results in a device that weighs less than 1 lb and, says Skycast, allows airlines to maximise the number of portable units boarded. The units for the airline feature a custom Sun Country user interface with user-friendly tablet navigation. Skycast will update the content monthly.
“Upgrading our portable IFE offering with the Air Show tablet reflects our commitment to provide our passengers with an excellent travel experience,” explained John Fredericksen, CEO of Sun Country Airlines. “This will not only enhance our First Class service even more, but also provide our coach passengers with a whole new inflight entertainment option.”
