September traffic data for American Eagle and Executive Airlines

American Eagle Airlines has announced September 2010 traffic figures for itself and its subsidiary Executive Airlines.

Eagle’s revenue passenger miles (RPMs) during the month totalled 692,292,000, compared with 584,679,000 in September 2009, an 18.4% increase. Available seat miles (ASMs) were increased by 13.9% to 945,960,000 from 830,616,000 year-on-year.

These figures created a load factor of 73.2%, an increase of 2.8 percentage points (pp) over last September’s 70.4%. The airline carried 1,375,317 passengers during the month, 2.5% up on the 1,342,176 carried in September 2009.

RPMs at Executive Airlines numbered 37,570,000, just 0.5% up on September 2009’s figure of 37,393,000. ASMs were cut by 4.8% to 71,859,000 from 75,455,000. The load factor thus rose by 2.7 pp to 52.3% from 49.6%. The airline carried 194,733 passengers in September compared with 189,949 the year previously.
