Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC) has delivered the second Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) aircraft to Yakutia Airlines.
The SSJ100, with manufacturer serial number 95020, arrived at its base in Yakutsk in northeast Russia from Ulyanovsk where the Act of Delivery & Acceptance with SCAC had been signed earlier.
Yakutia Airlines’ two aircraft have a 93-seat, two-class configuration with eight seats in business class and 85 seats in economy class. The airline is planning to operate both SSJ100s on routes from Yakutsk to Khabarovsk, Novosibirsk, Harbin (China) the in autumn and winter period. The airline will also extend the SSJ100 route network by adding Russian destinations such as Nerungri, Magadan, Petropavlovsk and Kamchatsky for the spring-summer period.
The first SSJ100 was delivered to Yakutia in late December 2012 and entered into service in January this year. The first commercial flight by a Yakutia SSJ100 operated from Yakutsk to Khabarovsk.
