Blue1 has taken delivery of its second Boeing 717, painted in its new “Flowing”-livery, the type having been chosen to play an important role in the company’s route strategy and the growth of operations with nine aircraft planned to be in the fleet by the end of March 2011.
The new “Flowing” design representing the identity and business solutions of Blue1 is being implemented in co-operation with the School of Art and Design at Aalto University in Finland.
Blue1’s says the livery represents a customer-friendly, fresh and young choice for the Finnish business traveller. The carrier calls itself a “young Finnish challenger airline, believing in courage and new solutions of air travel”. The new visual appearance thus reflects the origins of the company: Finland, cleanliness and lakes.
