Frontier Airlines has announced new seasonal nonstop service between Kansas City International Airport (MCI) and Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers.
The airline will offer a once-weekly roundtrip flight beginning on 18 December, and will increase the service to twice weekly in February.
“Kansas City has been a huge area of growth for Frontier this past year and we’re thrilled to add yet another nonstop destination this winter,” remarked Daniel Shurz, vice-president of strategy and planning. “Providing the only nonstop access between Kansas City and Fort Myers furthers our commitment to the community by providing our guests with convenient and affordable access to the places they want to fly.”
Frontier will operate a 99-seat Embraer 190 aircraft on this new route. Flights will depart Kansas City at 14:25 and land in Fort Myers at 18:15. The return service will take off from Fort Myers at 18:45 and land back at Kansas City at 21:05. These flights will operate each Saturday between 18 December 2010and 16 April 2011 and also on each Tuesday between 8 February and 29 March 2011
