Scoot customers can now book flights on the go as the airline’s free mobile app becomes available for download from the Apple store.
This alternative platform complements traditional booking avenues such as the website, call centre and travel agents. "The Scoot App brings another level of convenience to our guests, allowing everyone to book a Scoot flight wherever they are” commented Scoot’s CEO, Campbell Wilson. “Personal devices like smartphones are becoming ever more popular and we wanted to deliver a solid mobile app that looked good but functions even better.”
Features of the Scoot mobile app include the ability to track your flight purchases through the ‘My Flights’ icon as well as a ‘Fare Deals’ icon displaying low fares and promotions on a daily basis.
The airline has also included information about how Scoot operates. Passengers can access a destination guide – detailing where they can fly to and tourist information about what to do there – which is accessorised by a visual route map.
In the coming weeks Scoot will roll out apps for both android and iPad platforms. It also has plans to increase function and language capability. Future features will include a ‘Manage My Booking’ feature and the option to access the service in traditional or simplified Chinese.
