STG Aerospace has welcomed Scoot as its latest client, with the carrier ordering SafTGlo ColorMatch for its initial fleet of four Boeing 777-200s, and taking options to fit the product on all future Scoot aircraft.
The airline was launched in November 2011 and will begin operations in June 2012.
Campbell Wilson, Scoot’s CEO, commented, “STG’s SafTGlo stood out amongst our options, offering great performance and through-life costs without compromising on design. We look forward to having them on board Scoot’s aircraft.”
SafTGlo, a photoluminescent system, stores and simultaneously emits light, giving highly visible emergency exit guidance for up to 16 hours in darkness, after only a short period of charging with normal cabin lighting.
