JetBlue Airways has announced that Savannah, GA, will be the 50th nonstop destination for customers in Boston when flights between the two cities begins on 13 February 2014.
"Bostonians work hard, and they need more great places to get away," noted Scott Laurence, JetBlue's vice-president of network planning. "Savannah/Hilton Head is an easy weekend getaway or vacation, and priced right so our customers can get away more often."
"Serving 50 cities from Boston with all-jet operations is a huge milestone for JetBlue and we hope there are more opportunities for customers to experience our award-winning service to new destinations in the future," said Marty St George, JetBlue's senior vice-president marketing and commercial strategy. "We appreciate the partnership from Massport, the City of Boston and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for helping us achieve this milestone."
JetBlue's Boston–Savannah schedule, to be operated with 100-seat Embraer 190s aircraft, will see departure from Boston at 11:10, landing in Savannah at 13:46. The return flight takes off at 14:25, arriving back at Boston at 16:43 (all times local).
