Ryanair has released its passenger and load factor statistics for January 2012.
Booked seats sold fell by 6% to 4.39 million from last January’s 4.66 million. With the airline trimming its capacity, the load factor for the respective months remained at 71%.
Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara remarked, “As previously guided, Ryanair’s 2011/12 winter traffic was expected to decline by approximately 5% as we sit up to 80 aircraft on the ground due to higher oil prices.”
