Ryanair has reported that more passengers than in any previous year travelled using the carrier’s low-fare services in 2010 .
Ryanair’s passenger numbers last year grew by 10% taking the number carried annually from 65 million in 2009 to more than 72 million. The airline also set a new monthly record last August when it carried 7.7 million passengers. The August performance was prefaced by the airline’s busiest day of travel in 30 July when more than 255,000 flew on over 1,400 Ryanair flights.
The busiest booking day was 26 April when more than 310,000 bookings were made on the airline’s website.
