Ryanair’s booked passenger and load factor statistics for February 2011 have been released and show increases in both parameters.
The number of booked seats sold by Ryanair (which does not necessarily equal the number of passengers actually carried) totalled 4.57 million, compared with 4.37 million in February 2010, an increase of 5%. The load factor rose by 1 percentage point to 76%.
In the 12 months to the end of February 2011, the airline booked 73.1 million passengers at an average load factor of 82%.
The rolling 12 month traffic figure includes up to 1.45 million passengers booked on flights which were cancelled due to closures of EU airspace during the Icelandic volcanic eruptions in April/May 2010.
