Ryanair has released its March traffic statistics which showed that te number of booked customers increased by 28% to 8.5 million, compared with 6.6 million booked in March 2015, while the load factor for the month rose 4 percentage points year-on-year to 94%.
The rolling annual 12-month figure to 31 March 2016 grew 18% to 106.4 million customers, compared with the figure for the 12 months ending 31 March 2015..
Ryanair’s chief marketing officer, Kenny Jacobs, commented, “These record monthly numbers were delivered – despite 3 days of unjustified French ATC strikes in March which caused the cancellation of over 500 flights – due to our lower fares, stronger forward bookings and the continuing success of our AGB [Always Getting Better] programme. Our 106 million customers can look forward to further improvements in 2016 as we will shortly launch Year 3 of AGB.”
