Ryanair launches summer schedules for Leeds Bradford and Newcastle

tRyanair has launched its 2017 summer schedules for both Leeds Bradford and Newcastle Airports, with the former featuring a new twice-weekly route to Girona and the latter including three new routes to Faro (five-times-weekly), Girona (twice-weekly) and Palma (daily).ttThe Leeds Bradford schedule will also see new twice-weekly summer services to Bratislava, Gran Canaria, Vilnius and Warsaw, while Newcastle will have new summer services to Gdansk and Lanzarote twice-weekly and three-times-weekly to Tenerife.ttThe airline is also increasing its flights from Leeds Bradford to Alicante and Faro, which are becoming daily services; to Tenerife, to which flights will become thrice weekly; to Ibiza, Krakow and Lanzarote, which will become four-times-weekly; and to Palma, which will become an eight-times-weekly service.ttOverall, there will be 92 weekly flights from Leeds Bradford Airport during summer 2017.ttRyanair’s head of communications, Robin Kiely, averred, “We are pleased to launch our biggest ever Leeds Bradford summer 2017 schedule three months earlier than last year, which will deliver 1.3 million customers per year and support 975 jobs at Leeds Bradford Airport as we grow our operation by over 20%.”ttFrom Newcastle, the 2017 summer schedule will see an increase in flights to Alicante, which will become a daily service; to Dublin, which will become a twice-daily service; and to Malaga, to which flights will become five-times-weekly.ttOverall, there will be 50 weekly flights from Newcastle Airport during summer 2017.tt“We are pleased to launch our biggest ever Newcastle summer 2017 schedule three months earlier than last year, which will deliver 750,000 customers per year and support 560 jobs at Newcastle Airport,” added Kiely.
