Republic Airways Holdings has reported that its subsidiary airlines carried 1,810,810 passengers during September 2015, a 2% decrease from the 1,841,915 the airline carried in September 2014.
However, load factor increased by two percentage points across the respective periods from 76% to 78%. This is due to available seat miles (ASMs) reducing by 4% year-over-year from 1,201,471,000 down to 1,155,993,000 whilst revenue passenger miles (RPMs) only shrunk by 1% from 916,274,000 to 905,046,000.
The year to date has seen Republic carry 16,767,166 passengers, a 1% decrease from the 2014 figure, but the load factor has remained 79% across the two periods as the carrier’s 2015 ASMs and RPMs have both fallen by 2% in comparison to the figures for the first nine months of 2014.
