Republic Airways Holdings has reported preliminary passenger traffic results for August 2010 incorporating the figures for Frontier Airlines.
The company generated 1,999,980,000 revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 120% increase from the 907,386,000 recorded in the same month last year, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 109% to 2,392,782,000 from 1,143,823,000.
The consolidated load factor was 84% versus 79% in August 2009, while 2,989,193 passengers were carried during the month, a 70% increase from the 1,753,196 carried in August last year.
The branded operations at Frontier Airlines generated 1,213,869,000 RPMs in August 2010, an increase of 10% over August 2009 results. Capacity (ASMs) increased 9% to 1,383,669,000 in August 2010. Frontier also reported a record load factor for the sixth consecutive month, achieving a figure of 88% in August 2010 compared to 87% in August 2009. Frontier Airlines served 1,405,050 passengers last month, a 5% increase from August 2009.
