Republic Airways Holdings has reported its preliminary passenger traffic results for June 2014 and for the first half of the calendar year.
The company generated 1,036,653,000 revenue passenger miles (RPMs) in June, a 16% increase over the 896,734,000 generated in the same period in 2013. Available seat miles (ASMs) increased by 13% to 1,257,099,000 from 1,109,748,000 last June.
The load factor increased by 1.7 percentage points to 82.5% from 80.8% in the same period in 2013. Republic Airways’ carriers transported 2,023,355 passengers in June, an 8% increase compared with June 2013’s figure of 1,867,806.
In the first half of the year (1H14), RPMs totalled 5,601,606,000, compared with 4,913,161,000 in 1H13, a 14% increase. ASMs increased by 9% in 1H14 to 7,081,209,000 compared with 6,505,897,000 in hte same period last year.
The 1H14 load factor was 79.1%, up 3.6 pp from 1H13’s figure of 75.5%. The company carried 11,038,416 passengers in 1H14, compred with 10,285,323 in 1H13, a 7% increase.
