Republic Airways Holdingshas reported preliminary passenger traffic results for June and the first half of 2011.
The company generated 1,924,693,000 revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 3% decrease from the 1,978,761,000 reported in the same month last year, while capacity in available seat miles (ASMs) show a minor drop to 2,295,756,000 from 2,298,163,000 for the respective periods.
The consolidated load factor was 84% versus 86% in June 2010. Passengers carried during the month numbered 2,858,781, a 4% reduction from the 2,977,957 carried in the same month last year.
In the first half of 2011 (1H11), RPMs fell by 1% to 10,205,025,000 from 10,331,596,000, with ASMs decreasing by the same percentage to 13,072,805,000 from 13,175,068,000 in 1H10. The load factor for the half year thus remained steady at 78%. Passengers carried over the first six months of 2011 totalled 15,214,358 compared with 15,508,070 in 1H10, a 2% decrease.
