SA Express Airways has chosen to streamline its purchase-to-pay processes with a spend control solution from eProcurement specialist, Proactis.
The airline will use the Proactis purchasing solution, which will be delivered by its accredited partner AdvanceNet, to gain control of all indirect spend throughout the organisation, from initial request through to payment.
The Proactis application automates the typically inefficient paper-intensive processes involved in the purchasing of indirect goods and services. Using Proactis, SA Express will be able to ensure that staff comply to company sourcing and authorisation rules, as well as reduce the time and cost of raising, authorising and processing orders/invoices.
Jenean Green, chief information officer at SA Express, commented, “Before Proactis, we used a manual system which took an excessive amount of time on the part of the buyer, the approver and accounts payable. With Proactis we can now eliminate the paper chase of approving and processing orders, improve controls and visibility of costs and redirect staff time to more value-adding activities.”
SA Express will also be using the Proactis solution to manage fixed assets, so finance and accounting personnel are able to recognise the items that are purchased according to the fixed assets policy of the organisation and ensure the purchases are recognised in the airline’s SAP financial system.
