Sky Aviation and PowerJet have signed a 10-year "by the hour" maintenance contract covering 24 SaM146 engines powering Sky Aviation’s new Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) aircraft.
The agreement was signed by the airline’s chief executive officer, Krisman Tarigan and Jacques Desclaux, chairman and chief executive officer of PowerJet.
Sky Aviation will be covered by PowerLife, a customer service package comprising the engine and its line replaceable units (LRU), including access to a PowerJet replacement pool. A dedicated PowerJet field representative will be assigned to Sky Aviation’s operational base at Jakarta Airport for one year.
“We are very satisfied with this long-term partnership agreement," remarked Tarigan. "It fully meets Sky Aviation’s requirements, since we wanted a single partner able to provide a complete range of support services”
