Ryanair has announced its biggest ever Porto summer 2017 schedule, with four new routes to Birmingham, Edinburgh, Krakow and Nuremberg, adding up to 8% traffic growth at the airport in 2017.
The schedule has been created to deliver 4 millon customers a year and support 3,000 jobs at Porto Airport. It will see more frequencies to destinations such as Barcelona, Brussels, Milan and Rome.
The four brand new routes will operate twice weekly. There are also four new summer 2017 routes to Luxembourg (5 flights a week), Milan Malpensa (4 flights a week), Terceira (twice weekly) and Warsaw (twice weekly). The airport will have 49 routes in total.
Ryanair chief executive Michael O’Leary commented, “We are pleased to launch our biggest ever Porto summer 2017 schedule. As our recent guidance confirmed, Ryanair expects average fares to fall by between 10% to 12% in the six months to March 2017. There’s never been a better time to book a low fare flight on Ryanair.”
