Porter Airlines has released its monthly traffic statistics for August 2010 with increases in all major parameters.
The load factor was 63.9%, based on 99.7 million ASMs (available seat miles) and 63.7 million RPMs (revenue passenger miles). This represents an 11.4 perecentage point load factor increase from 52.5% in August 2009. ASMs grew 69% from 59.1 million and RPMs increased by 105% from 31.0 million over the same period.
“Beginning a standard disclosure process summarising our monthly traffic will help inform the market about Porter’s competitive positioning,” explained Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines.
