Porter Airlines has reported year-over-year load factor increase of 6.5 percentage points for the month of April.
Figures for the month show a load factor of 54.1%, compared with 47.6% achieved in April 2010. This result was based on 97.8 million available seat miles (ASMs) and 52.9 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs). ASMs grew 10.8% from 88.3 million and RPMs increased 26% from 42.0 million over the same period.
“This is an excellent start to the second quarter,” declared Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines. “New capacity on routes such as Ottawa–Moncton and Montreal–Halifax is being well received and we anticipate demand will remain strong in coming months.”
