Pinnacle Airlines Corporation has reported capacity and operational results for its subsidiaries, Pinnacle Airlines Inc, Colgan Air and Mesaba Aviation, for September 2011.
The three airlines generated a combined figure of 724,726,000 revenue passenger miles (RPMs), compared with 667,452,000 in September 2010, an 8.6% increase. Available seat miles (ASMs)were increased only slightly, by 0.1%, to 956,850,000 from last September’s 955,993,000.
The load factor consequently increased by 5.9 percentage points to 75.7% from 69.8% for the respective months and the total passengers carried by the trio reached 1,677,263, a 10.4% increase over the 1,519,619 carried in September 2010.
The jet fleet saw an extra three CRJ200s added to make a total of 145, while the number of CRJ900s remained constant at 57. In the turboprop fleet, the number of Q400s doubled to 30 as 14 Saab 340s were withdrawn to leave a total of 52.
