Pinnacle Airlines’ May performance data announced

Pinnacle Airlines Corporation has released capacity and operational results for its Pinnacle Airlines subsidiary for May 2010.

Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) created totalled 378,536,000 compared with 399,875,000 in May 2009, a 5.3% decrease, while available seat miles (ASMs) were cut by 1.7% to 502,747,000 from 511,398,000 last May.

These figures led to a 2.9 percentage point load factor decrease to 75.3% from 78.2%. Passengers carried numbered 902,289, also down – by 2.0% – from 920,788.

Block hours flown were up 2.6% at 36,080 from 35,156, while departures rose by 2.5% to 23,391 from 22,821. All this was flown with a fleet of 126 CRJ200s and 16 CRJ900s, two more CRJ200s and one fewer CRJ900 than in May 2009.
