Pinnacle Airlines’ December performance data released

Pinnacle Airlines Corporation has announced capacity and operational results for its Pinnacle Airlines, Inc. subsidiary for December 2010.

Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) flown in December 2010 totalled 338,528,000 compared with 378,164,000 in December 2009, a 10.5% decrease. Available seat miles (ASMs) were cut by 7.8% to 459,023,000 from 497,627,000 for the respective periods.

The load factor fell to 73.7% in December 2010, 2.3 percentage points lower than the 76.0% achieved 12 months previously. Passengers carried during the month totalled 812,167, compared with 867,612 in December 2010, a 6.4% decline.

Over the whole of 2010, RPMs – compared with 2009 – dropped by 3.2% to 4,490,065,000 from 4,640,392,000. ASMs wer cut by just 2.2% to 6,009,188,000 from 6,108,609,000, so the load factor dropped to 74.7%, 1.3 pp down on 2009’s figure of 76.0%. A total of 10,537,364 passengers were carried in 2010, a decrease of 2.2% compared with 2009’s total of 10,770,780.
