Pegasus Airlines has announced its traffic results for the first five months of 2016 during which it increased its total number of passengers by 13.5% year-on-year to 9.28 million, with the number of flights it operates going up by 15.7% during the same period.
Between January and May 2016, Pegasus carried 6.02 million custoemrs on its internal routes within Turkey and 3.26 million on its international routes. Over the period, the airline achieved an average load factor of 76.7% and also increased its daily aircraft utilisation by 1% to 12.2 hours.
In 2016 Pegasus Airlines added Jordan’s capital Amman and Azerbaijan’s Gabala to its network, increasing its number of destinations to 33 in Turkey and 70 in the rest of the world, bringing its total network to 103 destinations in 41 countries.
