Pegasus orders five Boeing 737-800s

Pegasus Airlines has finalised an order for five Next-Generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft valued at approximately US$505 million based on expected list prices at delivery.“The performance of the 737-800 has proven reliability, fantastic operating economics and popularity with our customers,” commented Mehmet Nane, CEO of Pegasus Airlines. “I am pleased that we will be continuing with this long-standing relationship that stretches back 20 years, adding more Boeing airplanes to our fleet.”The carrier and its subsidiaries, Air Manas and Izair, currently operate a fleet of 58 737-800s out of a total 69 aircraft.“The 737-800 continues to be the best selling version of the very successful Next-Generation 737 family, accumulating over 7,000 orders worldwide,” remarked Monty Oliver, VP European sales, Boeing Commercial Airplanes. “We are proud that Pegasus has again selected Boeing to meet its fleet requirements.”
