Pegasus Airlines has announced that on 16 July it will begin a new route between Budapest and Istanbul which will operate four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
Flights will leave Istanbul at 10:15 and arrive in Budapest at 11:20 after two hour long flight. With a turnaround time of 40 minutes, the return flight will leave Budapest Airport at 12:00 and arrive at Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen Airport at 15:05 (all times local).
“Budapest Airport is delighted to welcome the start of flights between Istanbul and Budapest by Pegasus Airlines, as we have been working together for a long time to launch this new service, which has now become a reality,” explained Kam Jandu, chief commercial officer for Budapest Airport. “The schedule offered by Pegasus complements existing services on the route and meets the needs of both business passengers and tourists. Turkey’s biggest city on the border between Europe and Asia is not only a great tourist destination but also the commercial centre of the rapidly growing Turkish economy. The new flights will also help to further develop economic ties between Turkey and Hungary.”
