Bombardier Commercial Aircraft has signed a five-year heavy maintenance agreement with Mesa Airlines, under which the OEM will perform all heavy maintenance tasks for the airline's fleet of CRJ700 and CRJ900 aircraft at its service centres in Macon, GA; Bridgeport, WV and Tucson, AZ.
"Bombardier's CRJ Series aircraft continue to be an essential part of Mesa's growth strategy and network success," said Jonathan Ornstein, chairman and chief executive officer, Mesa Airlines. "While we continue to focus on building our business, it's reassuring to be supported by Bombardier's expertise as our aircraft maintenance provider."
"We are excited that Mesa continues to rely on Bombardier's service centres to help ensure its fleet of CRJ aircraft is delivering the performance and reliability that operators around the world have come to expect," commented Todd Young, vice-president, customer services, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft. "As the aircraft manufacturer, we pride ourselves on being able to provide the highest level of maintenance services for operators of our aircraft."
Mesa Airlines' fleet currently includes 57 CRJ900s and 20 CRJ700s, with a further seven new CRJ900s to come from an order placed in March 2015.
