PARIS 2015: Jetstar Group signs OnPoint support deal with GE

The Qantas Group, on behalf of its subsidiary Jetstar Group, has entered into a multi-year OnPoint solution agreement with GE Aviation, worth more than $550 million, which will see the latter provide maintenance, repair and overhaul services for the GEnx-1B engines which power Jetstar’s fleet of eight Boeing 787 Dreamliners.“This agreement will provide Jetstar with the lowest through-life cost for engineering and maintenance while also ensuring leading levels of reliability,” commented Jetstar’s head of engineering, David Lau. “We are pleased to build on an already strong relationship between the Qantas Group, Jetstar and GE with this long-term services deal.”“This OnPoint Solution agreement on the GEnx engines further strengthens GE and Jetstar’s relationship,” added Kevin McAllister, president of GE Aviation’s services organisation. “We look forward to providing the best service and support to keep Jetstar Group’s GEnx engines in top operating condition.”
