ATR has announced the sale of three ATR 42-500s to TAME of Ecuador, with deliveries set for September and October 2011 and February 2012.
“With this contract we will have the chance to open for ATR both another customer and another country,” remarked the manufacturer’s CEO Filippo Bagnato.
“The ATRs will constitute a very useful addition for connectivity with smaller cities,” explained General Gustavo Cuesta, CEO of TAME. “The deal constitutes an open door for further contracts with ATR. We are also looking at the larger model [ATR 72], but also the military [in Ecuador] will be very interested in ATRs too I think.”
