Azul has converted 10 options from a previous order for ATR 72-600s into firm orders, taking its overall order total to 30 (with 10 options still remaining).
Azul marketing director, Gianfranco Beting, commented, “In simple terms they’re making the difference between making money and losing money. The aeroplanes are serving untapped markets and untapped cities.”
Deliveries of airline’s 72-600s will begin in the fourth quarter of this year.
