The Pan Am Thailand Flight Training Centre, a joint venture between Nok Air and ANA Holdings based on the Suvarnabhumi campus of Assumption University (ABAC), has officially been opened.
The centre currently has one of four planned simulators in place. With an A320 simulator already fully functional, Pan Am Thailand intends that another A320 simulator, as well as two 737NG simulators, will be installed soon.
“With the future high demand for pilots, Pan Am Thailand will be the prime training ground for the region. This world class facility will provide our own pilots with state-of-the-art training,” stated Piya Yodmani, deputy CEO of Nok Air, who was also in attendance.
Pan Am Thailand will offer the following types of training: Dry simulator rental, type rating training, Ab Initio pilot training with airline transition, maintenance training, cabin crew training, aircraft dispatcher training and aviation English training.
