Following the signing of a component pooling contract between Turkish Technic and Onur Air in 2012 for the airline’s Airbus A320 family aircraft, the two companies have agreed to extend the contract until 2021.
The contract comprises component supply and repair on an ATA Chapter basis. Components will be supplied from Turkish Technic’s main base in Istanbul and pooling stations worldwide. Repair work on the components will be done at Turkish Technic’s new facility in Sabiha Gokcen Airport.
Onur Air’s CEO, Teoman Tosun, remarked, “We recognise the high-quality component supply services offered by Turkish Technic. We think they will provide the ideal solution for our Airbus A320 and A321 operations.”
“We thank Onur Air for extending its component pooling contract with Turkish Technic,” added Turkish Technic’s CEO, Ahmet Karaman. “This is a clear indication that we keep our services at the highest level and ensure operator satisfaction. We have now reached a fleet size of more than 700 aircraft in the component pool market.”
Onur Air currently operates a fleet of 16 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft alongside 11 A330s on scheduled domestic flights as well as international routes.
