October figures show continuing easyJet growth

easyJet has announced its passenger statistics for October 2013.
The airline booked 5,530,091 passengers (the measured figure as no-shows are rarely refunded and are counted as ‘flown’) in October 2013, compared with 5,245,201 booked in October 2012, a 5.4% increase. The respective load factors were 89.1% and 88.4%, a 0.7 percentage point year-on year increase.
For the rolling 12 months ending 31 October 2013, easyJet booked 61,042,699 customers, a 4.0% increase over the 58,705,137 booked in the 12 months ending 31 October 2012. The load factors for each period were 89.4% and 88.6% respectively.
easyJet cancelled 179 flights in October 2013 against 27 in October 2012. The increase in cancellations was largely driven by air traffic control strikes at French and Italian airports.
